Pretty standard fair for me there. Sadly just missing out on the top 10 is The Charlatans. I listened to their Wonderland album this week, which is RAD. When I was 15 I lent that album to a girl I fancied and she lent me a Train album in return. THAT WAS THE START OF SOMETHING SPECIAL!!

  6. Gareth - have you seen the Microphones / Little Wings DVD? I remembered it a few days ago, before remembering soon after that I lent it to Joe, and may never get it back. It's good, suffice to say.

  7. RFS - No, I've not. What sort of stuff is it? Is it documentary and live stuff, or is it just a load of footage of rivers and mountains and shit?

It's just the two of them driving around in a Volvo estate (hey, like copy haho!) playing shows. Good live footage! And some bizarre dialogue, for example -

"I just don't think I have room in my life right now for a new jumper."

  9. I kind of had an incident with Phil Elverum. I met him at the end of last year and he was wearing socks and sandals but also had an iPhone. I couldn't understand how a man who knew how to work an iPhone wouldn't know you don't wear socks and sandals together. I don't want Phil Elverum to own such modern technology.

  10. While I'm a little shocked at the idea of Phil Elverum even owning a phone (ANY type of phone, I mean doesn't he live in caves and stuff?), I'm a strong advocate of sandals / white socks. They look and feel great, to me at least.
