Ouch By Ouch Ouch

I have injuries from walking too much. The shame.... oh.. the shame... cry.

We played our last sxsw gig today. I ate too much mexican food beforehand and kind of flubbed around the stage like a sweaty bag of whales before rolling off in a hurry to catch Maps & Atlases (who were incredible). So far this has been the best week. I'm going to post lots of pictures soon, some of which are boss aces. Bumped into "Harkin Sky Larkin Harkin Harkin" during a secret Dinosaur Jr show, which was the most "Awesome Pals" moment of the week so far. Speaking of which, Calum and I walked for a good couple of miles to try and find some pizzeria Sky Larkin were playing at, but gave up after it became apparent that we were both idiots without functioning brains that can remember things. VEGGIE HOTDOG made up for it a little. Got stopped in the street by a man bearing free sunglasses who said we were this year's Los Campesinos, whatever that means. Radio sesh tomorrow and then it's GOODBYE SXSWXW!! X!W

  2. "this year's Los Campesinos!" means you were the sweaty, over-fed, sun-burnt, wide-eyed British children of this year's SXSW. Too bad.

  3. Did you happen to pop into "Coyote Ugly" at any point? The SXSW experience is not complete unless you are trying to order a drink through the legs of a middle aged woman dressed as a cheerleader dancing on the bar.

  8. I saw bats! But at a weird lawyer party - which was as strange and wedding receptiony as that sounds.

    "Where's Sky Larkin?"
"They're not in the pizzaria..." Oh I've got a video, one sec!

  9. If it was the Red House Pizzeria you attempted walking to, I completely sympathize. That walk was twice as long as I expected it to be, and the Texas heat is unforgiving.

I caught Fanfarlo and Slow Club there, though, so it was worth it!
